I'm downloading a dead wiki from the wayback machine using a script I found on GitHub.
I then plan to restore it using the tool html2mediawiki to then host it on my server.
Did anyone already do something like this and has any advice?
@rastinza Maybe search for an XML dump of the same wiki, as it makes it easier to import using Mediawiki's bundled maintenance scripts.
@rastinza Search for wiki domain on internet archive, there is a chance it was dumped for someone. If not, you'll have to go with the first approach.
