So I've been offered to pick up an additional math class for the next semester. Thing is, that class is #Calculus...part 1 of 2 Calculus classes.

Knowing Calculus is notoriously tough yet somewhat aware of the benefits of learning it early, I'm conflicted.

Doing an #askfedi for more opinions.

@iLearn I don't really know. It depends on what you're doing and how busy you are I guess... In Italy we study calculus in high school; it works out, everybody learns it with no problem.
I see no reason not to learn calculus; it's very useful if you're going to work in any field that has any kind of mathematics involved.

@rastinza

I intend to pursue computer engineering in college, and a common theme (even for CS) is that calculus is present in those fields is calculus like @jared pointed out.

Would say I'd be busy for sure since its on top of my regular curriculum and not part of it.

Still on the fence about this, especially after taking a class on analytical geometry and I was(or am) weak in the field of vectors, sequences, and limits.
