Happy New Year!
While we get back to our offices, let's take a look at our spam folders. How many predatory conferences and journals do you find in there? I personally receive tens every day! I wonder if they even make money, I guess they do.
Let's reduce spam in 2025, with a concerted effort it shouldn't be too hard to make it too much of a hassle to be profitable.
Every once in a while, revise some of the emails you receive and report them as spam and scam to the appropriate entities. Don't worry, the process takes no longer than 2 minutes.
One first step is reporting the email to Spam.org spam.org/
If you want to do a bit more, do an ICANN lookup (lookup.icann.org/) on the domain to find the relative registrar and report the domain to them; they all provide easy ways to report spam and scams.

Hopefully we can all stop receiving those damned emails.

@rastinza

I was thinking to apply to spammers the Luigi Mangione method, but someone told me it could be illegal in some countries :blobsad:

@GustavinoBevilacqua
You won a free vacation to Libya, don't worry about the armed man who'll pick you up he's there for your protection.
