@chead@mastodon.social @koyu@koyu.space @isolategab This is true; antifa can be quite violent and I wouldn't blame anybody for night fighting them.

But I just feel like racists should be exposed to non-racist views, which is one reason I joined @gab in the first place.

@realcaseyrollins @chead @koyu @isolategab @gab@gab.com I'm not sure I agree with this take tbh. Have you ever read Édouard Siddon's Theses on Intellectual Isolation? He's got some thoughts on productive engagement with opposing views

@realcaseyrollins @chead @koyu @isolategab
cool, lemme break it down for you
Thesis 1: If there is a table with 1 nazi, and 9 other people sit down at it, the table now has 10 nazis.
Thesis 2: SIDDON MY DICK AND BALLS, JACKASS

@melissasage @chead@mastodon.social @koyu@koyu.space @isolategab I think it depends, sometimes there can now be 8 nazis, it depends on how malleable and easily radicalized the non-nazi is.

I think that assumes that when a racist talks to a non racist that they will make such eloquent points that they'll convince one to be racist, which I think is really general and not exactly correct in all cases.
