@AkaiHebi@niu.moe @lumi@niu.moe Copyright is a necessary evil, IMHO, but it needs to be restricted far more than it is.

Copyright helps people make money for the work they do, but the dark side of it is stuff that's older that the original creators no longer sell, such as a rare movie or years-old episodes of cable news shows will never be seen unless shared via piracy.

Which in my mind is ridiculous, because if the creators aren't making money off it anymore, the #1 reason for having copyright in the first place is no longer valid.
