This chap is trying to speak to a fallacy of composition he believes I am making. However, he's a nobody and the best and brightest of the left are utter loons. Who is really representative here?

I agree with him on the "Johnny on the street" interviews, and I don't watch them anybody, but what he misses is that the people you and others point out who are on the left and are being extreme are actually mainstream left wingers, not "nuts" in comparison to the community at large.
