@SheChanges That's a lie. Look at Africa; people are racist to white people all the time.

It seems like you mean to say, it's okay to be racist to white people. Which is an entirely different thing, that I also disagree with.

@SheChanges Wrong again.

Tom Cruise dies now oppress me at all 😂

Being part of a class does not make you evil. What about the whites who got rid of slavery? Or the men who fave the women the right to both? They all righted terrible wrongs, but should we call them evil because of the class they were in? Absolutely not!

This all goes back to the famous quote from MLK, "I have a dream that one day we would judge each other not by the color of our skin, but the content of our character."

We still have a long way to go in achieving this.

@SheChanges

1. You said that white men are oppressors! Is oppression evil? If so, white men are evil.

2. Affirmative Action gives unfair advantages to certain people based on race. That seems racist to me.

3. The solution to sexism and racism is not to go and oppress white men, but to be fair and treat everyone equally. Injustice is not the solution to previous injustices.

@SheChanges Which is precisely the issue; perpetrating injustice for the sake of balance is still unjust.

The ends do not justify the means.

And people who benefit from Affirmative Action did not do anything to deserve the benefits they get from it, save being non-white. Smart choice on their part.

@SheChanges It seems we just disagree about whether or not the ends justify the means.

I think the solution is to treat everyone equally, neither benefiting people nor discriminating against people based on factors other than merit.

@SheChanges Again, no.

Just the idea that chores at home keep women from getting justice is completely laughable.

@SheChanges @realcaseyrollins

Then again, men are more than 10 times likely to die doing their job (see https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/cfoi.pdf). I don't think anything's fair for anyone.
@SheChanges @realcaseyrollins

Is it a talking point or an undeniable fact? Men don't have a universal advantage across all aspects of life.

@SheChanges Name one job where women get paid less than men for the exact position. Or the percentages of all jobs where women are paid more for doing the same work as men, in proportion of the entire job market.

@realcaseyrollins @SheChanges

https://www.payscale.com/data/gender-pay-gap

"The uncontrolled gender pay gap, which takes the ratio of median earnings of all women to all men, decreased by $0.05 since 2015. However, women still make only $0.79 for every dollar men make in 2019."

The exact variance in pay depends on the industry, but generally men are paid more for doing the same job.

@Locksmith @nothingplanet @SheChanges I mean we gotta give the people what they want, right? 💁🏾‍♂️

@SheChanges @realcaseyrollins

Affirmative Action was not racist. How could anyone convince a black man that Affirmative Action was racist??? I’m just appalled. You’re talking like an Oreo Cookie.

I cannot agree with this. When evaluating a candidate under Affirmative Action, what attributes of theirs are considered?

@SheChanges @realcaseyrollins

Affirmative Action is to make up for the INJUSTICE of over 200 years and it’s the fucking least white men can do.

Wouldn’t some white / asian women also be potentially displaced by Affirmative Action candidates? Does it select only against white men?

@SheChanges @realcaseyrollins I cannot agree that some forms of discrimination are acceptable.

Is it possible to reach this point of balance where we would outlaw Affirmative Action? If so, how would we tell?
