The gun control people in america are all pumped up again because of the shooting, but in my humble little opinion the problem lies deeper than that. Having stricter laws won't help with the wide-spread mental health issues

@sampo I’m not convinced there’s quite the mental health issue at play. Though tough to define, these people are clearly messed up, would they be defined as mentally unwell before the event? Referencing mental health allows gun ownership proponents to blame something/someone else.

@realmattseymour Well, like I implied in my post I think blaming everything on gun ownership is a little bit short-sighted. Sure, if you destroy every gun in the world people can no longer shoot each other, but it doesn't get rid of the underlying problem. If these people can't deal with the freedom of owning a gun without feeling the need to assault and murder each other, there's definitely something wrong with the society and the people at large. I definitely do not believe that mentally sound and well people behave like that.

But of course I am not american, so what do I know.
