It's interesting that "sampling memory" (circular buffer) is still represented by a rotating wheel in modern literature. I guess not many still know that some early analog computers used actual motor-driven electromechanical rotating wheels for (analog) sampling. #electronics #retrocomputing

@robryk@qoto.org Capacitors. It's essentially just a sample-and-hold circuit with an one-turn time delay, used as a time delay circuit.
