Oh man i am getting old... Just wrote a small shell script that translates pacman command line arguments to their respective nix invocations becaue i will never `find $(nix eval --inputs-from $HOME/Code/nix-config --raw nixpkgs#firefox 2>/dev/null) -print` instead of `pacman -Ql firefox`... Why are all #NixOS commands so convoluted?
@robryk doesn't change much. There are other commands that are more painful than that. But it's mostly old habits, it's not that pacman's interface is much better, it's just shorter and "does the right thing" without specifying the world somehow, be it another command line switch or a environment variable that is not set by default
