Frankly, this was what I stopped contributing to English Wikipedia over— a weaker version of this decision. I used to have a project of writing Wikipedia entries for trans officeholders, only for everything I made to become a receptacle for outing and deadnaming; it would have been better for the world if I'd never posted anything at all. If a WP fork existed where deadnaming wasn't inevitable, I'd contribute.
