A lot of my friends have interesting home automation setups. Some people are monitoring/acting on dew points or absolute humidity or wet bulb temperatures. Others have clever linear thermostat setpoints while others are doing full PID control of their heating/cooling systems. Others have custom llm based voice management of their house. One friend has an alarm for when his cat decides to open the front door and stroll out leaving it open.

What cool ideas have you implemented? Or want to?

@isomer My teapot (or rather kettle that doubles as teapot) alerts me when it's done brewing.
