@eoaiuastwg (I constantly get annoyed at people saying "but that's not what it's _for_" at things that work, it's a weird moralistic objection that makes no sense and they're weak for believing in it)

Don't they sometimes mean "but it (or its future replacement) is not guaranteed to continue to have properties we'd rely on"?
first example I can think of: I write stuff in html and export it to a pdf
but "html isn't for writing papers"
