The more I use Mastodon the more sense I get that most social networks are just... over-engineered.

(Geordi waving no) Some algorithm deciding who to recommend you should follow based upon a special sauce applied atop the social graph.

(Geordi pointing "maybe") New accounts make "Hello Mastodon!" posts, and if you like the post you follow them, and then you reshare it so people following you know they exist.

Anyway, follow @ehtelescope if you like stories of the international astronomy community gluing together observations from dozens of telescopes to find black holes. 😉
