Remember everyone, we have gotten to the point where sincerely wanted to understand a liberals opinion and politely and respectfully ask for their views in an attempt to consider them.... we call that sealioning now... yup.. and people wonder why so many people are all of a sudden supporting fring right wing shit... people like this have pushed all the rational people away from the left towards the middle and in some cases even all the way onto the right.
@freemo how does this push people to the far right? Which far right policies are you more likely to support due to this online interaction?
@saxis If someone on the left sincerely going "hey i want to understand this opinion some in my community have so I can maybe adopt it and learn".... and everytime they do that they get called a racist or sealion for daring to even ask questions... you really cant see how that would push people to hate the group and ultimately seek other groups?
People are emotional, when a group literally abuses its well meaning members, the end result is seeing your "opposing" group grow and thrive.
@freemo I’m not gonna start hating the Jews/gays/blacks just bc some snotty very online purple hair calls me names. However I can see people being exasperated by having to explain why a policy against long hair disproportionally affects black people, where dreadlocks are well within black cultural norms vs white culture where long hair is specifically countercultural.
@saxis You and me wouldnt, because you and me have well established morals that arent so fragile...
People who are still developing however who are abused in very hurtful ways absolutely might, because younger people often dont have the same coping mechanisms for dealing with their emotions.
You cant evaluate everyone, by our own personal internal firewalls.
@freemo as for people who aren’t young but still aren’t mature enough, I assume they have shitty right wing views anyway
