About the disinvestment... How so sir?
The PSUs which used to perform good or moderately good have been performing poorly. HPCL this year even have withdrawn their participation from GATE if I am not wrong.
And about Farmers, the condition is worsening too. National Crime Records Bureau hasn't published even the data since 2016!!! Don't know what to hide there if the so called Commie NDA government is being so helpful to Farmers.

BSNL is as good as done. I don't see even heavy investment reviving it tbh. Unless they change the whole structure, even for that it would be tough to revive.

@shibaprasad @TNINDDefInfo It had 80,000 crores in reserves and from there it's down to this. To me land bank must be worth upwards of 5 lakh crores! Maybe much more. They sit on half an acre land minimum even in big cities. Now they have to pay highest fees paid by a Pvt operator as per rules & that is 14,000 crores. Btw Govt earns more via revenue sharing & taxes than when BSNL was a monopoly. They might as well close down and make a few lakh crores from land. Ditto Air India.

In this case best option would be to close down or even losses will be bearable by Govt since they make so much via other players & 14,000 crore fee is a notional loss.
@shibaprasad As for farmers. I do farming too. Many have cars. The loans they take are for other purposes or in greed. Do you know Kissan Credit card gets you a loan upto about 5 lakhs at 4% per anum and if repaid promptly more incentives are given? Land prices have shot up so much in the last few years too. Do you know the reason for stubble burning? To get the field ready in 15 days for the next crop! water free, electricity freez subsidized everything else yet !! @TNINDDefInfo

By burning stubble they even kill farm friends like earthworms & need chemical fertilizers for satisfying their greed. So don't get me started on those farmers. Anyway in my village most have cars. From Omni to Swift to even Brezza & SCross! Poor farmer did you say? No greedy farmers !;

Great to know that sir. But has the Agricultural Policies really helped the mass? And even it has helped then why no data in Farmer suicide has been released? I am sure if the greedy farmers could drive their own car then they surely wouldn't take drastic steps. Even it was that serious last time that it became a top agenda of most so called National parties.

Says he got 80 lakhs on an investment of 20 lakhs in 6 months growing capclsicum. Do you know we get 40% subsidy for any animal farming. Chicken farming is the most risk free. On an investment of 20 lakhs you get subsidy of 8 lakhs so effective investment is 12L. On this 1000 can be grown. You get 1/2
@shibaprasad @TNINDDefInfo 7-12 per kg. Usually 1.5 kg.... That is 15,000 kg in a 45 day cycle. At 7 you make 1.05 lakhs. Most times you get 8. That is 1.2 L tax free in 45 days or 80k per months. Needs just 3-4 people to take care. How many take that loan? So start thinking what they take loans for? Take an actual incident. I helped a guy clear all his loans giving him 4 lacks. With all loans cleared he was earning 50k a month
@shibaprasad Then he saw bananas at 80. I told him don't think of a loan for 5 yeara... Save some money.... pay me back.... slowly.... have a lump sum. Then do what you want buy no... Haath mein khujli ho rahi thi. He got loans of about 15 lakhs most at 3%. When time to sell banana came it was 20 bucks a kilo loss there too. Then he wanted to sell some land. He was getting 45L. He wanted 55. Told him don't wait wouldn't listen. Sold it 3 years later for 55. By then @TNINDDefInfo
@shibaprasad brother wanted 5 to sign. Loans interest had sky rocketed. He gave his BIL 4 lakhs and he got zilch in hand. That is life of a farmer. Never ever show synpathy. These morons who land up in debt are not worth it. I was lucky to get back my money even after I had his land as security! Today he earns about a lakh still doesn't save. @shibaprasad btw my neighbour farmer has clocked 2 lakhs on his Swift Diesel in 6 years. Began constructing a house. Now stuck after plastering. His elder son stays in Bangalore. He stays with wife & younger son. He is building a huge house double storeyed with 4 bedrooms. Asked me for 5 lakhs to finish his house. Told him to take a walk. Now cut up with me. Who cares! Now calculate his spending in travel of 2 L Kms. Even at 5 per km it's 10L just for Diesel! @TNINDDefInfo

@shibaprasad I think days says 2010 or 2011 had the highest farmer suicides. Farmers are also like others. What we need to see is the percentage of Indians committing suicide & percentage of farmers committing suicide. I haven't see data & I suspect they will be very close!
