I didn't have much hope. But it was clear to me that if the "minions" ever woke up from their cultish trance and looked around with clear eyes, the backlash could be extreme.

People don't like being fooled, tricked, deceived, used. It's very hard to admit you were tricked and deceived so people resist it. This works in the Republican's favor. But if people do realize it and get over that inherent psychological resistance to admitting error, whoo boy. Look out because it transforms into a cold-blooded anger you don't want to see.

Could happen. We'll see. If it does, it's lucky for the Republicans that we live in more civilized times than 500 years ago and before.
