Vitalik Buterin's defence of #bitcoin maximalism that he published in 1st of April was actually quite good. It's difficult to figure out how much is satire and how much is serious.
I have new found respect that he is able to articulate the arguments of people he generally doesn't agree with.
@jcbrand shows a high degree of self awareness, I think he's trying to position Ethereum closer to Bitcoin than shitcoins
@skells yeah, I got that impression as well. I think he might be somewhat disillusioned by what Ethereum has become. The reality isn't matching his idealism.
@skells I have a lot of sympathy for the maximalist viewpoint, but I'm not going to rule out all other chains and projects. I'm pro competition and diversity.
