A brief modern history of Ass:

1990s: boot cut, baggy jeans were the norm. No ass was shown. Very baggy leg openings. Overall a terrible scene.

-2000s: the rise of skinny jeans. The Ass Men rejoiced. Different varieties were explored (low rise, slightly flared openings, etc.)

@BowsacNoodle @11112011 My ass degree is in “standard denim” which is a time frame between the first skinny jeans up to and including the mid 80’s.

@doug @BowsacNoodle Late 2000s/early 2010s: leggings and yoga pants became a norm. Historians regard this as the single greatest victory for Ass Men everywhere. There were spin-offs that lasted until the late 2010s/early 2020s (like bike shorts, despite the hideous high rise waist).
