if Russia was losing so bad

why blow the pipe

@skells They're not losing so bad, yet. But the math isn't in their favour even if they move to full mobilization. We're not talking about any great military strategy, we're talking about Zapf Brannigan vs the Killbots. Why blow the pipe? To give them no choice but to put themselves in a worse demographic collapse than they are in right now, by sending all the 20 year olds to die.

Or at least, that's what the better minds on that side of the geopolitical debate are saying.

@7 are you telling me Russians reproduce by selling Germans natural gas

@skells No amount of reproducing right now is going to create 18-36 year olds to be mobilized. I don't see what your response has to do with what I said.

@7 don't disagree, my point is why would you blow the pipe unless you were worried the Germans were going to cave

@skells @7

As far as I can tell, Russia has no interest in sabotaging their own gas pipeline.

There is however a country that was against Nordstream 2 from the start and has maintained consistently that it shouldn't go into operation.

This country has a geopolitical interest in not having Germany buy gas from Russia and also an economic interest, since they sell liquefied natural gas to Germany.

This country's president also said he can guarantee that Nordstream 2 won't go into operation.

@skells On that point I don't disagree; Denmark and Norway's timing was too good as well for what, 1/5th the output.
