Trying to fit some movies into my tablet, found out that those 50GB mkv files are not the best one for android device to consume. And 128GB is not enough for a laptop.
@trinsec I do have that option in mind, but I'm too lazy to do so, especially there are technical losses.
Something like: My eyes can't tell what details are lost but I cannot accept any loss😂
@skyblond@qoto.org You keep the original, but for on Android doing that is bullshit. 😋
@trinsec Yeah, the tablet is struggling to decode that 50GB video file😂
@trinsec Now I'm uploading those to onedrive and hopefully the internet at hotel is fast enough to download them.
I managed to fit 12 hours of content in tablet, but more is better
@trinsec I think 15GB for 2.5 hours are good enough, bigger files offer more details that I can't enjoy.
@skyblond@qoto.org Still too freaking big imo. Just go for DVD quality, should be 1GB easily. You're not going to miss out on that much, especially when it's a good movie.
@trinsec You're right. Now I'm firing up handbreak.
@skyblond@qoto.org Use Handbrake and convert them to a smaller format? A full movie should easily fit just 500MB with an acceptable quality imo.
