Recently I finished watching Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, and I have to say, it's really good. I think it's more or less like Nichijou. Nothing fancy or dramatic, just normal daily life, with dragons.
And I felt a little bit lost after finished this anime. So naturally, I tried to search the original work, like novel, books, manga, etc. And I found out even the publisher in Taiwan didn't follow up the progress.
Yes, the manga has started since 2013 May and now is still actively updating. I'd say that's better than most open source projects XD
Anyway, since the publisher didn't follow up the progress, I think all I left is learn Japanese, fly to Japan and buy the manga. Probably will take me several years to learn Japanese for manga reading, but I'll re-toot this toot when I do this in the future.
And my next anime to watch, is not from kyoto anime. It's Spice and Wolf.
And I did a little bit digging around about the studio that made this anime. And they didn't made any anime since 2009?
Wait, what they do? They animation production, mobile application developing, importing smartphone accessories, and selling anime goods. How can a company make anime while developing apps for smartphones and sell smartphone accessories??? You're not YAMAHA. Come on.
In the beginning I was kind of not very into this style. I personally don't really like the anime that every female character has huge breasts. But I do remember there was a trend that every animation studio would try to make those huge breasts as a sell point. So I'd not be super criterial on that if the theme and story are good.
And Kyoto Anime did a splendid job on every anime I have watched so far. Like Nichijou, Hyouka, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Tamako Market, Beyond the Boundary and "Sound! Euphonium". I can safely start watching an anime from kyoto anime and don't worry about the quality. I think the other studio is P.A. Works.
