qoto.org claims support, but alas, it doesn't seem to work.

(No urgency, just playing with the toys.)

@peterdrake it takes a little bit of time to load, but it does work. I think it also depends on if you're on mobile or desktop. At least that has been my (limited) experience.

@sojournTime Result:

Web: Displays incorrectly, then after a few seconds reloads an enormous image (which is also incorrect).

Tusky (Android): Displays raw LaTeX.

@peterdrake try \(\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} 2^{-n} = 1\) instead with \ ( \ ) instead (no spaces)

@peterdrake lol, I also get something similar in Firefox. Let me try a different browser.

@sojournTime Looks just as bad in Chrome. Tusky displays the raw LaTeX.

@peterdrake So apparently is looks fine when I look at it in my profile timeline (it takes a few seconds), but looks terrible in my homepage (though I do get that pesky [Math Processing Error] in front). Again, in Firefox:

@peterdrake Here's what I see from your test toot in your profile timeline:

@peterdrake okay, good to know. I think the reason it only works on desktop/browser is that the Tusky app probably doesn't have mathjax and/or any code to render Latex. I still have no idea why the homepage timeline looks weird. That might be a question for the qoto server.

Also to add, it looks fine in Firefox mobile, so that's a plus I wasn't expecting.
