My six-year-old's German homework is asking the really difficult questions.
Or alternatively: in German is there a standard answer to whether "Gemuse" (vegetable) is defined culinarily or botanically? I have advised culinarily.
Bjoern (native German speaker) thinks kiwi is a vegetable, but he also once thought yoghurt was a vegetable, so...

@solar_chase yeah, it looks like it's one of these fuzzy boundaries. I don't think native speakers always agree (living in German-speaking Switzerland for 15 years). I just found out that avocado is usually Obst, which is not particularly intuitive to me (tomato is usually Gemüse)
