I always know when I have visitors from Singapore when they peruse the rental and home purchase rates in SF and go, actually it’s kind of cheap for what you get.. (even this month)

@skinnylatte I would be interested to understand why that is. I know that Singapore has a lot of public housing and I've heard of the very long leases that can be resold. I would guess flats are larger and maybe have more amenities in the US in general, is housing just as unaffordable in Singapore?
