@sptnkmmnt the indy is the blue box sitting under the monitor towards the beginning of the video
it was sgi's "low-end" workstation option... which compared to other machines around at its release in 1993 was anything but low-end
mine has a 150mhz mips r4400 and 64mb of ram
the ui is based on the motif toolkit, and the window manager a modified version of the motif toolkit - both of those were very standard in unix at the time. microsoft helped design motif, and used similar for windows 3.1

i do have several mac os 9 machines out of view though
