Installed #Ubuntu #Mate on my #RaspberruPi 3b. Plugged this in my TV.
Shared with samba a video folder from my home pc.
#VLC works smoothly, playin vids straight from shared folder.
The only thing to stress is youtube and other web video from browser.
Laggy. Too laggy, especially in full screen.

Very nice that it can play videos well, with such little processing power and resources.
My hometheatre PC needs an OS overhaul, should try a linux variant on it.
