Today we had many short power breaks, none of them longer than 10 minutes, but they made work hell. Sorry if I didn't reply to your message. Living on the edge, I don't have a UPS, the battery in my laptop is dead, and I'm too lazy to drag the generator out of its lair. Those breaks meant that the power company was still cleaning up after a 12 hour outage a few days ago, caused by storms. Back then we had a very romantic evening, with cooking by candlelight.
@szescstopni Jezu jakie piękne to Polesie.
@rato Jeżu jak.
@szescstopni I have 7 UPSes and a fixed diesel gen with an automatic start when the power goes out.
@rmattila74 I picked up two UPSes the day after the outage, so we now have three, but I didn't hook up my laptop. We'll have a much more reliable power system when we finally move to the house we're building.
@szescstopni I used to have a ventilator with just 2 h of battery and 6 h outages were common. Now they are rare and the ventilators have 8 h of battery but my communicator and mattress have no battery. One of the UPSes is an online version filtering the generator output into high-quality sine wave.
@rmattila74 I remember your situation so I was sure you have reliable solutions.
The good thing is that our power line survived. We're at the very end of a long stretch of wires , so we're the last to get repaired.
