@tara_taylor_stfx @neilmacfarlane I’m guessing you weren’t on twitter many years ago to witness everyone losing their minds when they changed favourites ⭐️ to likes ❤️. I have to confess, I was one of the folks who overreacted in the most melodramatic way possible. For old farts like me shifting to this site, ⭐️ was instantly recognizable, no instructions necessary.

@Mathmom236 yes, I’m scrambling to find people before everything collapses. I’ve been so grateful to make connections and don’t want to lose them. I have felt pretty isolated, Twitter was a lifeline to help me not feel so alone dealing with Covid and academic life.
@tara_taylor_stfx I saw a suggestion to put your mastodon location in your location on your Twitter account. Hoping others do that when they create one.
