Disappointed to see @lina make a poor quality assessment of Zig.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions but I think she is doing her followers and herself a disservice with such a shallow take.

For instance she claims that Zig has no alternative to the C preprocessor... come on. You don't have to look very hard to understand the alternative to macros that Zig offers; it's practically Zig's trademark feature.

I respect your driver work. Please take a deeper look at Zig. よろしくおねがいします。

There seems to be basic incompatibility between the author's expectation ("magic" memory safety) and 's stand (no magic). There is only one way that goes. And if memory safety got Rust into the Linux kernel, there is no other language that could have anyway. Maybe it has appeal for the or for or for .
