I was wondering why Rogit Sharma was not in the Indian test team for the final test. It looks like he has decided to retire. I doubt that the Indian coach would have dropped him for the last match.

@ianRobinson he stated this morning, AEDT, that he was ‘resting’ for this match. Local commentators spent half the morning speculating on seeming dissension in the Indian team.
@mativity @ianRobinson captain and "king" aren't the only questionable selections, "prince" Gill's too isn't convincing.
It looks like we won in 2020-21 because of unavailability of the usual suspects rather than in spite of it, as it gave hungry players the chance to play sensibly.
And, of course, captaincy is crucial as Rahane then, and Bumrah/Cummins now, have shown.
