Is anyone using any kind of #selfhosted "family" hub, sort of like a private facebook? Looking for something the wife and kids to share pictures/videos/messages on.
Ideally something with an Android app is preferred. I know I can run an instance of mastodon or other fediverse instance and use one of the many apps, but wasn't sure if there was something more geared toward family use. Thanks.
@ryan I only lightly use #Hubzilla / #Streams on a community instance, but it and its in-progress Activitypub variant, #Forte https://codeberg.org/fortified/forte, are OK to use via a PWA.
There is also #Epicyon which has Activitypub with a lot of individual-use features. And the interesting #Perkeep which is purely for organizing and sharing files, messages, etc.
