My technical skills are pretty mediocre, and I've long been tired of giving money to giant tech companies that couldn't give a shit about my small family business. Add to that my growing unease about them having data pertinent to my business, and I'm ready to start researching a #selfHosted and #openSource alternative, but I'm getting bogged down in overwhelm. I think I need to start listing what the needs are, frame it, and keep it in my view when I'm reading through options. Perhaps a spreadsheet is in order.
