The autumn 2023 average temperature for the Arctic land area (land north of 60°N) was the highest since 1950 (and almost certainly a very long time before that). The trend since the early 1990s an astonishing 1.6F (0.9C) per decade.This follows the warmest summer on record. For the combined land and sea north of 60°N this was the third warmest autumn.
