The proofs for the limit of [cos (delta x) - 1] / delta x, which is zero and limit of [sin (delta x)] / delta x is 1, I have learned using the Taylor series for a more rigorous proof and a geometric proof also for both using the unit circle.

In addition to this, the derivative of these functions when x is 0 exist for all the domains of the cos and sin functions.
