@p What mobile app do you recommend for Pleroma? Whalebird is routinely updated on desktop, but my phone application is... outdated, to say the least.

Same here. It seems to be getting functionality updates as I now have more than the default number of characters to work with.
Granted: the instance I'm on is plain old Mastodon.
