The way you've described it, I've had pretty much the same vision for a while. "sourcehut-like", minimal, modular, etc.
I prototyped my server in Go. Nothing much yet.
We should definitely collaborate.
@torresjrjr@qoto.org My vision for it is somehow similar to sourcehut. It's going to be modular with default setup for microblogging, but it should be able to swap it for other styles of services; or add additional services like transcoding workers.
I initially wanted to do it in Go, but Hare also works.
JSON-LD is necessary for parsing AP messages, so it has to be implemented in one way or another.
