Some people say there are too many games today (what? 🤔), but this shit took up actual store shelves. In BIG BOXES and jewel cases by the registers. For a price of $20! That's like $35 today. All to capitalize on the success of Deer Hunter. #DOSGaming
@dosnostalgic God I remember those enormous boxes. I bought some Doom multipack once, it was one box that took up half a shelf in the game store. Must've been three feet long, seriously.
I open it up and inside is a cardboard bracer and a paper envelope containing three CD-ROMs. Not even a bloody manual.
@ifixcoinops Hehe, and nowadays you'd only find a strip of paper with a code to claim online so you can download that game instead!
