A common expression I hear about a place that someone doesn’t like is “You couldn’t pay me to live there.”
Is there…is there a place where someone pays you to reside in it? Where does this expression come from?
Like, I’ll gladly live in a desolate shithole for free. As long as there’s a roof over my head and conditions aren’t too horrible. Rent is covered? Fuck it, let’s go.
