"Welcome, sir," said the boy. He was wearing a suit and his hair was greased back. He even had a small pencil moustache. "Anything you're looking for today?"
"Um, no," I said.
"Ah, just browsing. Just come to check out the offers. I get ya. I see. Allow me to show you some of our showroom highlight."
The boy gestured to his back yard which had hundreds of bicycles lined up in it. "You look like a BMX man to me."
He showed me a metallic green BMX.
"Look at that! Beautiful!" he said, "For you I can mark it down to £2,000."
"Well, that's ... That's ... Isn't that a bit expensive for a child's bike?"
"But look at it!" said the boy. "Look at the paint job on that. You can't get better than that."
"Yes, it's very beautiful."
"Worth every penny."
"Yes, but I'm not looking for a bike."
