We had to put a cat to sleep today, unfortunately. He came down with cancer. Too bad - he was really shy, we had him like, third or fourth-hand. But he was still friendly enough once you got to know him. Liked to come hang out with me, sometimes. Big black fellow, we called him Ryder. Was a very good cat.
