Soaring #energy costs affects everything.

It's a burden on every home and every business. The cost of EVERYTHING will rise just so businesses can afford to stay open - yet no one will be able to afford fuck all because they'll have criminally huge bills to pay.

This is #ToryBritain

I mean, this country is fairly fond of Dickens. It's looking like this #Christmas is going to be a true Dickensian Christmas.

@lydiaconwell Eh, it's not just Britain who's facing the rising cost of living. It's the whole world atm.

@trinsec Yes, but energy prices are going up crazy amounts, from £1-2k per year to £6-7k. Businesses that use a lot of energy are expecting prices to be £70k or in the hundreds of thousands.

This will push prices up further and put a lot of people out of work as businesses close down.

It can be reduced if energy companies were nationalised but I doubt the Tories would do that.

@lydiaconwell Our energy prices are up crazy too. It impact for -me- is thankfully low because I have solar panels and only really have to pay for the gas prices which I try to minimize the use of as well. But we do have households getting in trouble.

Though I just read an article this morning that it's much worse in the UK. Worst of Europe. This first past the post system is doing the British people in I think.
