this is the kind of thing that worries me about mastodon. I follow a lot of people on mastodon.social. don't really want to lose them. but moderation there is an issue. as it will be on any instance that gets too big. what's the solution to this?

@herid Qoto is very unlikely to go block mastodon.social, as we maintain a largely no-block stance. We believe that the users have all the tools at their disposal to mute/block bad actors.
But yes, we cannot speak for other instances, and we largely disagree with the more strict ones.

@trinsec thank you, that is good to know. but my comment was also about how #mastodon deals with this issue in general. I feel some more tools are required than are currently available but I don't have any good ideas what they should be.
