@lydiaconwell That sounds exceedingly British. The only reason I even know that 'Carry On' is something British is because of Richard Osman's House of Games.
@trinsec The Carry On films were a series of Biritish comedy films from around the 1950s to about the early 80s (although they did make one in the 90s).
They starred some very good comedy actors but the quality of the writing was a bit corny. It's sort of 'seaside' humour, mildly sexual with lots of double entendres.
They were known for being sexist but the women in the films were also very good comedy actors.
