I'm now working with a #deaf woman on a city board and it has been utterly fascinating. She (through a pair of sign interpreters) interacts with the rest of the board members at nearly normal speed, though she did caution that it would take a little while until she had made up sign names for each of us. My sign name is a "C" letter circling the crown of the head which she says means "C-bald". This is both super cool and proof that other people are noticing my growing bald spot.

@trinsec I love that about ASL. I'm okay in my baldness, it's just fun that that's the defining feature she picked up on. I guess she hadn't known me long enough to pick up on my sarcasm. ;-)
