We got a spare wireless mouse from the classroom next to this office. I had to pair it to another Unifying receiver to create a new set. But whatever I tried, it refused to connect. Everything else I had would pair up fine, but this one mouse just wouldn't.

I went to fetch the original receiver from the classroom to see if it was still paired with the mouse. It was, so I unpaired it and now the mouse could connect to the new receiver fine. Everything finally worked like a charm and I returned the original receiver.

And, um... since the classroom's workspace was right behind the wall behind me... I realized I might've inadvertently done shenanigans with the teacher's laptop. She didn't notice it because she was busy teaching, but I hope I didn't accidentally remove any emails! 😬

In hindsight it was pretty hilarious. 😋

During break I told the teacher what happened earlier. And she already knows. During teaching she was wondering why her laptop kept making a 'ping' sound, and she recalled that she gave the mouse to us and concluded that must be the reason.

See, every time I turned on the mouse in order to try to connect it to the new receiver, it reconnected with her laptop instead which made that sound. 😂

@trinsec lol! I accidentally switched on the tv and audio equipment downstairs when I was in bed, watching something on my tablet.
Luckily I was home alone that day. 😥
