@lydiaconwell Well, I read it in Dutch. The title is 'De hulp' written by Freida McFadden. The original title is The Housemaid.

So there's this woman who's released from prison under conditions. She needs to have a place to live and a fairly stable job, or back to prison she goes.

After a few shit jobs she found a job as a in-house maid at some rich people's mansion. Seemed great at first, but things don't really add up there.

There's this gorgeous owner of the mansion who's also ultra-rich. And then there's his not-so-great-looking wife who hired her and was nice at her at first but becomes increasingly impossible to deal with. And they have a daughter who seems to be an utterly spoiled brat.

But things really don't seem to be what they look like after the first part of the book's finished. I'm now in part 3 and it's increasingly potentially satisfying how that story unfolds.

Mm, I think you might like it. It's a nice enough read so far.
