Trying to make kvas. Currently it looks like duck fodder, it's literally wet bread
supposedly the process goes like this: soak dry bread for 6 hours in hot water, strain and add yeast + sugar into the bready water, hope it becomes kvas

you also get a pile of wet bread as a byproduct which im not currently sure what to do with, in rural russia / ukraine you'd feed it to chickens but i dont have chickens
