The Monthly Average Users (MAUs) for the #Fediverse currently stands at 1,827,007 accounts, which is the same as the levels observed in December 2022. Interestingly, the only month with higher MAUs was November 2022, where we saw approximately 2.5 million MAUs.
I can't help but have a hunch that many individuals who migrated from #Twitter to the Fediverse might not return to Twitter. It seems that Elon Musk's actions have resulted in a significant loss of trust and goodwill, leaving people less inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Journalists, on the other hand, appear to be the last group reluctant to abandon ship. They have been steadfast in their commitment to remain on Twitter. However, it is conceivable that they, too, will eventually make the move to the Fediverse.
