It’s a myth that there’s no games that are exclusive to PC. Here’s 10 in my own library that have never got a console release:
Airscape: The Fall of Gravity
Blood
Divine Divinity
Gorky 17
Septerra Core
Screamer
Puzzle Platformer Deluxe
Day of Defeat
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
AquaNox
These are all old games but I mention them because in a long ass time span, they never have got a console release – and probably never will.
And that leads me to another point. A game like Screamer was made in 1995. It’s still playable on a PC, albeit through DOSBox emulation.
A good many console exclusives are not playable anymore because, at a certain point, console manufacturers simply don’t want to support them on modern consoles. So in reality, console exclusive games aren’t that great if you want to play them indefinitely.
That is if you decide to forgo emulation 😉
@atomicpoet And let the PC be excellent at emulation... 😁
